Michelle's team won first in the tournament this weekend during a very late night game. The final game against Tigard Blast was a tight matched game. The Lions were up, then down, then in the seventh (and final) inning they scored two runs and won the game. Michelle scored what ended up being the winning run after which she skipped her way back to the dugout. Karli followed Michelle with an insurance run. The final score was 5 to 3. Every player did a good job, with only a couple of errors and a lot of great defense they earned the first place trophy which is somewhere in Michelle's room now.
Michelle is the catcher in these pictures. She did not throw any attempted steals out Sunday but did keep the offense in check much of the time. Although she did throw a girl out at first on a bunt.
We arrived home just after 10:30 to hungry horses, dogs and cats. It was a fun but very late night.
