Winterball 2010

Susannah's first formal dance! She did finally decide to go with a friend, Todd. We did not get to see him that night, Ocean's mom took them over after David and I went to Jay Tappan's 60th birthday party. Here is Susannah mucking stalls and with Ocean. Beautiful!

Clatskanie tourney 1/10/10

Michelle's team won this tournament and played very well! Again, I had fun with my new lens. Still learning about it...

Oregon Sunrises

Two different mornings in God's Country!

The orange sunrise was taken on Achilles Road on the way to Michelle's basketball tournament. The mountain is Mt. Hood and I get to see that mountain most times I'm leaving my house. It's an extra special treat to see such a beautiful sunrise! I enjoy the sunrise in the winter because the sun wakes up much earlier than I do in the summer.

The pink/purple sunrise was enjoyed from our back porch. We had to take time from getting ready for school to enjoy this one!

Playing with my new lens

David game me a new lens for Christmas and here are some of the pictures I took with it. Horses are Takita (the bay) and Whisky Joe (the paint) Willy the dog and the trees along our property line. I took both pictures of the tree from the same spot, just checking out the zoom!
